Civil Engineering CADD Designer

Job Purpose:
Civil Land Development designer to prepare construction documents and reports including site planning, grading and stormwater, utility, and related details, designs and exhibits. Needs to have an extensive knowledge of AutoCad and Land Development Desktop (LDD). Needs to possess a complete understanding of layering conventions, xreferencing, file management and product deliverables.

Requirements:
  • Able to work within the computer-aided design CADD hands on for design and plans preparation.
  • Can assist engineers in preparing civil plans using existing company design tools, details and various local codes.
  • Participate in the companies review process to maintain quality consistency and plan standards.
  • Be diligent in maintaining and updating paper and electronic files for the project.
  • Be able to communicate design or plan questions or explain design or plan solutions clearly.
  • Be able to prepare sketch details based on design requirements to aide in communications.
  • Maintain technical or professional involvement by attending relative workshops, reviewing publications, and technical or professional societies.
  • Team player, contributing to accomplish various tasks and be result oriented.
 
Skills/Qualifications:
Detail Orientated, CADD-AutoCad LDD 2006 and 2007, Understanding of Civil Engineering Design Concepts or Degree in Civil Engineering.
